Kulimela Event:

Traditional Thai Massage Therapy Class: Thai massage is a unique form of body therapy that incorporates Hatha yoga and acupressure. This particular form of body work dates back at least 2000 years. The movements of gentle rocking, deep stretching and compression assist in the restructuring of the body’s muscular-skeletal framework. This particular form of massage is performed fully clothed and no oil is needed. In this hands-on seminar one can expect to watch, receive and perform basic Thai massage techniques that will leave the participant feeling relaxed and joyful. Please wear loose clothing (preferably trousers and shirt) that allow movement.

Kulimela Event:

A dramatherapy workshop: An opportunity to discover more about yourself and others using the expressive mediums of drama, story (Ramayan), artmaking and reflection.
Awareness leads to more honest relationships and empathy.

This workshop will last for approximately 3 hours with a short break. In the first part we will begin with an ice breaker, warm ups and work with sculpts (freeze frames) in our exploration of what is ‘hidden’. We will then make our own personal masks. In the second part we will focus on an excerpt from the Ramayan and work with improvisation. This workshop combines the creative arts/drama with an inner exploration in a safe, confidential and fun space.

Kulimela Event:

A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF HEART, HEAD AND SOUL

“The symbols of the self arise out of the depth of the body.”
C. G. Jung.

This workshop is rooted in the idea that the body and the mind are in constant reciprocal interaction. Our history, dreams, feelings, energy and spiritual experiences are all held within the body. In this workshop, we will be using creative movement as a vehicle for contacting our inner dance and for expression of the spirit. No dance experience necessary. We will learn how to trust again in the wisdom of our body to take us where we need to go in our psychic landscape. This exploration will include active imagination, voice dialogue, sound, ritual, drawing and relaxation, all used to awaken the symbolic capacity of our psyche and deepen our experiences.
