Lord Chaitanya and his associates would render ecstatic kirtan throughout Bengaland this kirtan woul be based on the Raga system. The Raga system is fascinating and could be of immense inspiration to all those interested in Bhajan and Kirtan today.

In this workshop, we will look at the meaning of raga and how it enhances and affects the mook of both kirtan and listener. We will use experiential methods tho explore Raga which will include listening, image making and discussion.
We will also explore the basic structural identity and personality of a raga and its meaning.

Bollywood Dance Workshop

Have you ever watched Hindi films and wondered if you could dance like the stars. Learn how to dance folk and Bollywood styles of dance.
Join me for a session of fun and expression whilst still learning dance techniques. Both sexes are welcome and for those who want to perform, there is an oppurtunity to dance on stage.
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring water and let’s get Bolly with it.

A workshop based around the fusion of classical and modern dance forms …. using capoeira, bharatanatyam, kathak, odissi, Kalari, contemporary, Ballet, flamenco and any other form you can bring to create movement sequences through improvised tasks…. also learn professional repotoire from Shobana jeyasingh dance company and prem dance collective. this workshop wil cater for all levels of experience and will involve learning different dance techniques and then using them to discover new ways of moving and exploring your performance potential….. this workshop is also open to live musicians to joins us and improvise and create soundscapes for our dancing to explore the beauty of dance and music in devotional setting…...

Kuli Film Festival

Over a period of days we will present and hold discussions on various short films.

Kuli related films: we will show the Kulimela film from NV, the Moscow Mela film, a film on Italian Gurukula and Kuli’s.

Kuli done films: Madhi, KD, Ishan, Rasacharaya are a few Kuli’s who have chosen film as their medium. We will get short films from all of them.
